GEA - SAG Podcast 611: A Cadre of Matts

A weirdly PSP-heavy 10 20 30 40

Show Notes

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris dive into the March 10 20 30 40, featuring the untimely ends of both the 32X AND Virtual Boy, the birth of the Resident Evil franchise, another desolate 1986 month, and a shockingly great lineup for the PSP!
Then, in Week Old News, so much AI. So very much AI. And nobody wants it. Except game companies. They LOVE it. Plus, Sonic 4 and Minecraft 2 cast announcements, Logan Paul kinda sucks, Humble Bazooka gets to work on making the Saturn 3D Controller wireless, and more!
Finally, in the Checkpoint, Kris doesn’t do a whole heck of a lot, but he started watching the live-action One Piece! Meanwhile, Dan really didn’t care for Man of Medan, tried a handful of Steam demos, and remembered why he doesn’t like dating sims.

Enjoy!

The SAG Cartoon Express makes another stop at Mega Man

Show Notes

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris board the SAG Cartoon Express for another classic episode of Mega Man! The February 10 20 30 40 brings umm… games?

Show Notes

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris take a whack at the February 2026 10 20 30 40 that’s chock full of… well not a whole lot. It’s looking like another lackluster month. But what’s this? Dead heat competition between PlayStation, Saturn, and 3DO? An oddball GameCube classic? A PS4 exclusive to light up our hearts? Maybe there’s hope yet!
Then, in Week Old News, Sony shuts down yet another studio and draws the ire of their fanbase, David Jaffe has big feelings about the new God of War, new old Virtual Boy footage surfaces, and more!
Finally, in the Checkpoint, Kris gets his octopus on with the Darwin’s Paradox demo, Dan likes Sons of Sparta much more than David Jaffe, Kris spends some quality time with his favorite pinball machines at his local arcade, Dan loves the new Jaws, and more!

SAG Standouts for the Intellivision

Show Notes

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris try their best to bring you this month’s SAG Standouts. The challenge? Doing it for the Intellivision, a console neither one of them has a ton of experience with (even though Kris inexplicably owns 5 of the darn things). Which games will make their lists?

Then, in Week Old News, Hyperkin gets ever closer to releasing their take on the Nomad, Goldfish crackers get into the world of gaming for some reason, Sony hosts a killer State of Play with some fantastic surprises , and more!

Finally, in the Checkpoint, Kris tries the new Jaws NES game, Dan does a bunch of stuff I’ve forgotten about because I accidentally forgot to write this part last week when we recorded and I can’t be arsed to go back and listen again, and presumably there was talk of sandwiches.
Enjoy!
