On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris bring you the Alphabet Soup-er Series! This month’s letter was Q, and Kris went with Q*Bert for PlayStation and Dreamcast. How much is there really to talk about with this one? How weird is the ending? Why are eye twitches funny? Let’s find out! At the top of the show, Dan’s been a little out of sorts this week, so he didn’t have much time for gaming. Kris, on the other hand, spent a little more time with Zelda, and tried out the new Vampire Survivors DLC, which is fantastic. Finally, in Week Old News, Sony kills the Concord studio, along with any hopes of the game ever making any sort of profit, The Oregon Trail gets the Barbie treatment, Castlevania gets a crazy box set and a musical, Super Mario Bros. gets a Game Boy Color makeover, and more!
On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris tackle the October 10 20 30 40, and what a month it was. Once again, the PlayStation 2 has a number of massive hits on its hands, but the 16-bit console war heated up quite a bit as well. What platform had the best October? Let’s find out!
At the top of the show, Dan gets more good news about his treatments, but is consistently distracted throughout the night thanks to the Yankees in the World Series. He also played the new Rocky Horror game, Splatterhouse, and ate some seriously sub-par grapes. Meanwhile, Kris continued to enjoy Zelda and tolerate Hatch Tales, while rekindling his love for the Game Boy Color classic Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.
Finally, in Week Old News, Dan and Kris try their hand at color commentary as the Yankees went into extra innings, the NSO playtest isn’t what anyone expected (and leaks almost immediately), Ubisoft continues to insist Beyond Good & Evil is going to happen, Aero the Acrobat gets physical for some reason, and more!
On this month’s episode of This Week’s Episode, we take a trip with Kris to Alaska for some Northern Exposure. Angie starts a Buffy rewatch as Evan checks in with Two Guys and a Girl, all the while Karen wants Nobody Wants This. Oh and Kris watches Dragon Ball kids? All this and so much more!
On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris have no feature topic! Oh no! What will they talk about? Well, lots of stuff actually.
At the top of the show, Dan catches us all up on his treatments. They’re going well, and he’s alright, but it’s been a heck of a week. Fortunately, he did get some playtime in with some great stuff including Goliath Depot and Nuclear Blaze. Meanwhile, Kris spent some more time with Echoes of Wisdom, which continues to be a delight, and finally gave his early impressions of Hatch Tales after 6 long years of waiting.
Finally, in Week Old News, everyone’s least favorite Tomb Raider gets a fresh release, Game Freak gets hit hard with a massive hack, someone’s still out there playing Concord, and more!
Show Notes
This time in A Theater Near You, the team watched Modern Problems, a 1981 Chevy Chase vehicle that’s so utterly miserable it’s almost hard to believe it’s real.

On this week’s podcast, Dean joins Dan and Kris for the SAG Cartoon Express! This month’s stop was the Video Power episode Ski Patrol, where someone kills a man with a basketball and a monster truck uses a series of boats as skis. It isn’t good television, but was it worse than Donkey Kong Country? We’ll find out!
At the top of the show, Dean gets ever closer to having his own house, and continues to enjoy his time with Steamworld Heist. Dan’s cancer treatments are going great, but he’s been buried under the weight of his massive Steam catalog. And Kris had a stressful week, but still managed to try the new Geometry Dash demake and spend some more time with Zelda. Oh, and his Hatch Tales code came through!
Finally, in Week Old News, competing GameAwards choose to celebrate, and degenerate the game industry, Sega’ Shinobi heads to the movies, Halo Studios forms, and more!
Show Notes Matt is back with an all-new Halloween Mixtape to get you into the spirit of the season!

On this week’s podcast, we finally have a genuinely great 10 20 30 40 on our hands. The 10 is good, teh 30 is great, the 40 is, well, pretty abysmal. But the 20? Holy cow. We’re talking Katamari Damacy, Donkey Konga, Fable, Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green, Burnout 3, and a whole heck of a lot more. It’s been a rough segment to get through this year, but man, September was absolutely killer in decades past!
At the top of the show, Kris broke his fridge with a lousy water filter, and was so busy working on his latest Mario history video he didn’t have time for any video games. Not even Zelda! Profound sadness. Dan, on the other hand, finished up Still Wakes the Deep, and might actually be done with Marvel Snap. Will the new Pokemon mobile card game be able to fill the gap? Time will tell!
Finally, in Week Old News, Splatterhouse comes to Sega Genesis, and Metroid comes to the Nintendo 64, both courtesy of the excellent homebrew communities out there doing the lord’s work. Plus, lost Garfield Sega Channel footage resurfaces, F-Zero Satelliview content finds new life through NSO, Tekken and KFC don’t get along, hippos are cool, and more. Enjoy!
