GEA - SAG Episode 562: That's a Bit Ostentatious

The Cartoon Express Pick up Billy and Jimmy Lee Once Again

Show Notes

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris board the SAG Cartoon Express for another dose of Double Dragon. After last year’s Virtual Reality episode, the expectations are high. But was that a bad idea? Is this show actually hot garbage? Probably, but the only way to find out for sure is to listen on! Then, in Week Old News, Nintendo’s messaging around the Switch 2 continues to cost them every shred of good will they’ve built up over the past decade, Farming Simulator officially comes to Sega Genesis, Doom gets an absurd collectors edition, and more! Finally, the guys talk about what they’ve been playing, some delicious burritos, Mario Kart World characters, and a whole lot of other nonsense. Enjoy!

GEA - SAG Episode 561: Double Direct Bananza!

Two Nintendo Directs, and a whole heck of a lot of controversy

Show Notes

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris dissect the two Nintendo Directs we just had. First, the super weird Nintendo Switch Direct, featuring some fantastic surprises like Rhythm Heaven and Marvel Invasion, among others. It was an odd choice to drop this Direct so close to the Switch 2 one, but it was a pleasant surprise. Then, the big one. The Switch 2 Direct. They break down everything they learned from the Direct itself and all the various haphazard announcements surrounding it, including its ill-advised pricing structure, the tech specs, and of course, the games! What did they make of Donkey Kong Bananza? How awesome does Mario Kart World look? Why does Metroid Prime 4 look so much better on Switch 2? Why does that new From Software game look like hot garbage? Find out! Plus, Dan continues to get better, especially following his super posh vacation, and Kris got to see the Minecraft movie, which was way more fun than he expected it to be. Enjoy!

Episode Notes

We weren't entirely sure this movie actually existed and released when it says it did. But after viewing, it's about as 90s of a scifi movie as you can get.

GEA - SAG Episode 560: The Bongo Combos

PlayStation owns a killer 10 20 30 40

Show Notes

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris make up for their criminally short episode last week with news of Dan's cancer-free status! Also, the latest Marvel casting news, and oh yeah, one heck of a 10 20 30 40! This month marked the release of the PSP AND the original God of War for PS2. There were some other killer releases, too, but Sony once again dominated the charts. In Week Old News, there was a surprise Nintendo Direct announced, and the guys made some predictions that will probably prove to be false in short order. But who knows? We also got some new NES game discoveries, some insight on how to properly pronounce Balatro, and more! Finally, Kris got to spend some quality time with the brilliant Breakout Beyond, ate some birria flavored burgers and quesadillas, Dan’s starting to regain the use of his hands, and more!

GEA - SAG Episode 559: Health and Human Services

The shortest SAG EVER

Show Notes

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris bring you possibly the shortest numbered episode of the podcast ever. Dan had his surgery a few days ago, and he just isn’t up to doing all that much talking. But the scheduled 10 20 30 40 was too chock full of PlayStation to NOT have Dan talk about it, so they just did a quick recap of their weeks, and called it a night. Hopefully service will return to normal by next week.

GEA - SAG Episode 558: Earthworm James

It’s time for the SAG BAG, where we answer your burning questions.

Show Notes

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris dive into the SAG BAG! You asked questions, and they tried their best to answer them. All of them. No matter how bizarre. Honestly, there were some really great questions, and they had a lot of fun answering them. Then, in Week Old News, Super NES consoles are getting faster for some reason, Katamari Damacy returns on Apple Arcade, Mortal Kombat Nitro gets some official gameplay footage, and more!
Finally, Dan plays Vengeance Hunters, Kris jumps for joy in Be Brave, Barb. But Paper Mario is still great, and Dan’s hands are getting better! Enjoy!
